Exhibition Grace #1 from July 5 to September 14

From 5 July to 14 September 2025, the State Apartments of the Prince’s Palace of Monaco will host the exhibition “Grace” #1, a sensitive and unprecedented invitation to rediscover the radiant and multifaceted personality of Princess Grace, born Grace Patricia Kelly.

Curated by Natalia Mlodzikowska, Exhibition Manager for the Collections Department of the Prince’s Palace of Monaco, and guest artistic curator Marie-Eve Mestre, this exhibition offers an intimate approach, far from clichés and frozen representations, to reveal the woman behind the icon — her nuances, her emotions, her quiet strength.

Spread across 90 square metres in three rooms of the Palace, “Grace” #1 draws primarily from the collections and archives of the Prince’s Palace. Photographs, personal belongings, jewellery and accessories tell the heartfelt story of the woman behind the icon: a sensitive, brilliant, courageous and free-spirited figure.

The immersive scenography, conceived as a soft, protective setting, recreates an intimate and poetic atmosphere. Velvet curtains, subdued lighting, carpeting that muffles footsteps — every detail contributes to making this exhibition a precious, contemplative moment. Unpublished portraits of various formats are displayed alongside cherished objects belonging to the Princess: sunglasses, gloves, hats, and of course, the iconic Hermès Kelly bag. A floral tapestry inspired by her love of nature, accompanied by a delicate rose fragrance and birdsong soundscape, completes this environment imbued with softness and elegance.

The exhibition unfolds around four themes, reflecting the many facets of Grace: the young woman in her natural element, captured on the beaches of Jamaica; the elegant yet discreet woman in her daily life; the loving and attentive mother; and finally, the amateur photographer and filmmaker, keen to preserve memories and precious family moments.

Far from being a chronological or exhaustive retrospective, “Grace” #1 is a sensitive, artistic exploration of an enduring figure, inviting visitors to step closer to the Princess’s world while discovering life through her own lens.
