{"id":2787,"date":"2023-05-18T15:31:55","date_gmt":"2023-05-18T13:31:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.visitepalaisdemonaco.com\/?p=2787"},"modified":"2023-08-23T19:11:27","modified_gmt":"2023-08-23T17:11:27","slug":"nearly-140-children-attend-changing-of-the-guard-on-place-du-palais","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.visitepalaisdemonaco.com\/en\/nearly-140-children-attend-changing-of-the-guard-on-place-du-palais\/","title":{"rendered":"Nearly 140 children attend Changing of the Guard on Palace Square"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><div class=\"vc_row wpb_row vc_row-fluid\" ><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-12\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p>There was an unprecedented gathering on Place du Palais on Sunday 7 May, as nearly 140 children got the chance to attend the Changing of the Guard at precisely 11.55 am.<\/p>\n<p>The Louis Carl\u00e9simo Association, which supports sick children and their families through fun events as they battle their illnesses, brought around 40 children to experience this highlight of the Palace Guards\u2019 everyday activities.<\/p>\n<p>By chance, *Les K\u00e9pis Pascalunes*, an association that supports orphans and widows of members of the French National Gendarmerie, was also present with a large group of children. The association was hosting nearly a hundred children, aged between 6 and 14 years old, for the weekend in Fr\u00e9jus and then in Monaco, as part of the \u201c*Du Bleu Dans Les Yeux*\u201d (\u201cBlue in Their Eyes\u201d) charity project.<br \/>\nAfter the Changing of the Guard ceremony, the young visitors had an opportunity to chat to the Palace Guards, and the morning concluded with photographs in front of the Prince\u2019s Palace.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<div class=\"vc_empty_space\"   style=\"height: 11px\"><span class=\"vc_empty_space_inner\"><\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"There was an unprecedented gathering on Place du Palais on Sunday 7 May, as nearly 140 children got the chance to attend the Changing of the Guard at precisely 11.55 am.
