The fresco restoration work is progressing…

Restoration methods are being perfected as work progresses. Artistic gesture, scientific techniques, materials analysis, research into pigments, the composition of supports, and historical research – this project, initiated by H.S.H. Prince Albert II, places the Palace of Monaco within the course of world art history through the scale of its discoveries, but also through the refinement, and even the invention, of a methodology for sustainable restoration that is respectful of the artwork, resources, the environment, and people.

Here is a capture of some magical moments, as the restoration requires extreme concentration…

Visits to the State Apartments are open from 30 March to 15 October 2026.
- March, April, May, June, September and October: open from 10am to 6pm.
July and August: open from 10am to 7pm.
Visits will be closed during the F1 Grand Prix weekend.

Child (under 6): free
Groups and Agencies: upon request

Cars and coaches: recommended parking at «Parking des Pêcheurs». Please note that vehicles registered outside of Monaco and the Alpes Maritimes (06) cannot access Le Rocher and Monaco-Ville.
Monaco Buses: Lines 1 and 2 - Place de la Visitation Stop.
On foot, 10 minutes from Place d’Armes via Rampe Major, 5 minutes from Place de la Visitation through the alleys of the Rock.

As the Palace is a Sovereign Residence, it may be closed to the public without prior notice.
